| Like the title says, today I wanted to fix my rear upper arm mistake I made. Turns out I put the arms on the wrong side of the car. Dunno if it makes a difference or not, but either way, it's incorrect, and I'm glad Tim pointed it out in this post La-Z-Link Anyways, while working on swapping the arms, I decided to pay attention to one of the very few areas of the car that I have really not paid all that much attention to...the parking brake. I bought all new parking brake hardware and pads online since mine were abou thalfway used up, got some brake grease, got out my online FMS to make sure I did things correctly, and got to work. Here's the work I did today. Heres the upper arm on backwards...ugh...embarrassed...
First, I took the arm off, and swapped them to the correct sides...none of the suspension is adjusted correctly right now, everything is just bolted in place. I'll have everything adjusted properly when ever the car is running again one day.
While in there I figure I'd snap a picture of the pretty bolts I have holding the gas filler cover on =)
Here are all of the parts for the parking brake rebuild
 Before...
After...I know doesn't really look that different, but now I have piece of mind, and I won't have to replace things forever!
I've torn down the parking brake several times before, and I've really never known how to adjust the parking brake 100%. Lately I've been using the FSM to work on ANYTHING, and also to go back and double check how I've installed things/adjusted things in the past. While looking at the parking brake section, it had a very nice section on how to adjust the parking brake at the drum, and the handle. VERY easy to do, and I now I feel very good about my parking brake.
How you adjust it...very easy
Anyways, I know nothing too exciting, but it's the stuff I did today. Hope you all enjoyed the post!
